Tesla has once again adjusted its pricing strategy, this time affecting the Cybertruck. Following an update to the online configurator, U.S. lease rates for the Cybertruck Premium AWD have increased for new customers by up to 12 percent.
The change does not currently apply to Canada, Korea, or the UAE and arrives as Cybertruck Standard AWD deliveries are approaching in the United States.
The New Lease Math
The revisions apply only to the Premium AWD and affect both zero-down and standard down-payment options based on a typical 36-month lease with 10,000 miles per year.
With $0 down, the monthly payment has risen 10 percent to $1,100 per month. For customers putting $5,000 down at signing, the payment has increased 12 percent to $949 per month.
| Trim | Lease ($0 Down)* | Lease ($5K Down)* | Financing ($5K Down/5.21% APR) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard AWD ($69,990) | N/A | N/A | ~$1,080 / mo |
| Premium AWD ($79,990) | $1,100 / mo | $949 / mo | ~$1,250 / mo |
| Cyberbeast ($99,990) | $1,595 / mo | $1,439 / mo | ~$1,575 / mo |
*Note: Lease pricing estimates at 3.99% APR with 36mo lease terms.
Meanwhile, the tri-motor Cyberbeast’s lease pricing is unchanged at $1,595 per month with $0 down and $1,439 per month with a $5,000 down payment.
Optimizing for Margin
Limiting a roughly 10 percent increase to the Premium AWD points to steady demand for that configuration. As the primary entry to the Cybertruck lineup and likely the highest-volume trim, elevating its lease floor boosts margins where most transactions occur.
Keeping Cyberbeast lease rates flat narrows the monthly gap between trims, a classic pricing move that can nudge some shoppers toward the performance model.
Sustaining Demand
The hike indicates robust interest in the Cybertruck; automakers rarely raise lease rates on vehicles that lack demand.
According to the updated configurator, a new Premium AWD order in the United States carries an estimated delivery window of two to three months, targeting July and August of 2026.
This timeline suggests production at Gigafactory Texas is scaling to keep waits reasonable while a healthy backlog can absorb a roughly 10 percent premium.
