Tesla App 4.61.5 Hints at Home Charging Quotes, Charging Card Updates
Update 4.61.5 includes indications of a forthcoming option to purchase a Wall Connector and request an installation quote, as well as refinements to the process for adding and managing charging cards in supported regions.
Home Charging Install

Strings discovered in this release suggest Tesla plans to streamline Wall Connector setup by letting users buy the hardware and then find and receive an installation quote directly through the app.
New phrases found in the app include:
- ENABLE_HOME_CHARGING_ORDER
- HOME_CHARGING_ORDER_DETAIL
- HOME_CHARGING_ORDER_INFO
- HOME_CHARGING_ORDER_INSTALL_INFO
Charging logistics and costs remain common questions for new EV buyers. This feature aims to simplify the process by enabling purchase and installation quote requests for EV chargers.
Charging Card

Tesla offers charging cards in certain regions that let drivers charge at Superchargers or other third-party networks and bill a different account. Tesla also supports using a Tesla key card to bill a specific account.
With 4.61.5, Tesla has updated the flow for adding and managing charging cards. In supported regions (not available in North America), you can add a charging card, set a default, and more.
