Tesla officially rolled out FSD (Supervised) v14.3 to early-access testers, and early impressions are already arriving. Drivers across Cybertruck, Model 3, and Model Y report major improvements in smoothness, reaction speed, and parking confidence.
The first-day consensus is broadly positive. Below is what initial testers are encountering on public roads.
Fast Reactions and Decisive Moves
According to the official release notes, FSD v14.3 includes a rewritten AI compiler that delivers a 20 percent faster reaction time. Early users say this speedup is clearly noticeable in real-world driving.

Smooth as always. There are things it does that definitely feel new, I just need more time to figure them out.

Multiple users report the car feels noticeably quicker and more confident overall. Many call the faster reaction time the standout change, citing quicker identification of parking spots and faster responses to traffic lights.
Instead of circling a lot or second-guessing, the system now identifies open spaces and initiates the maneuver promptly, and it also reacts to yellow lights more quickly.

Smoother, Human-Like Driving
A recurring theme among early testers is the added smoothness. Many describe v14.3 as driving in a more human-like manner.

Testers characterize the ride as very smooth and more natural. Several note that speed profiles have been toned down to reduce excessive speeding, resulting in a more comfortable experience. Reports frequently highlight confident yet gentle acceleration and equally refined deceleration when approaching stops.

Drivers report parking is faster and more precise, with creeping behavior described as confident, decisive, and smooth. Testers also observe that the car selects spots much more quickly and decisively than previous versions, showing greater confidence even in complex parking lots.

Fantastic maneuvering by FSD. 10+ point turn to escape and handled flawlessly! Super impressive @Tesla_AI with @DavidMoss pic.twitter.com/cEdpmU0Qfs
Zero Interventions and Everyday Refinements
The added smoothness and quicker reactions are translating into fewer required interventions. Some users have already reported completing over 100 miles with zero interventions, noting that hesitation at roundabouts is completely gone, braking is smooth, and yellow-light handling is vastly improved.

Others logging longer zero-intervention drives note fewer unnecessary lane changes and logical passing decisions, though some mention the car can linger in the left lane on empty highways. Early highlight clips show v14.3 executing unprotected left turns cleanly, maneuvering well in parking lots, performing strongly on highways, and maintaining improved follow distances.
Early Quirks
As with any major FSD release, initial testing surfaced a few minor quirks stemming from the updated logic.
One notable change is improved small-animal detection. However, testers have seen occasional light braking for blowing leaves. A few drivers have also encountered isolated long waits at stop signs and slow acceleration from a full stop.
Additionally, some users observed minor parking mistakes where the system treated a hashed no-parking zone as a valid spot.

The Overall Consensus
While these are day-one impressions, early testers overwhelmingly characterize FSD v14.3 as a meaningful advance in both confidence and refinement. The 20 percent faster reaction time provides a clearly better driving experience, closing the gap between robotic hesitation and smoother, human-like intuition. As the fleet accumulates more highway miles and tackles complex edge cases, a clearer view of the new architecture’s true capability will emerge.
