Tesla’s Full Self-Driving development is progressing internally as unreleased iterations undergo testing. A previously unseen FSD (Supervised) build was spotted on a pre-production fleet vehicle, suggesting a broader release could follow.
Longtime Tesla watcher @SawyerMerritt shared on X that a Model Y L test unit he was demo driving had the unreleased software installed, noting:
“My Model Y L test unit has a currently unreleased version of FSD: V14.3.7”
Under-the-Hood Polish and Bug Fixes
Underlying documentation shows that the release notes for FSD 14.3.7 are identical to FSD 14.3.6. When Tesla issues consecutive builds with matching documentation, it typically points to performance tweaks, system optimizations, and bug fixes rather than new user-facing features.
Since FSD 14.3.6 began rolling out to consumer vehicles last week, 14.3.7 appears focused on refining existing capabilities. It doesn’t look like this version includes any major additions worth calling out in the release notes, leaning instead toward minor improvements and neural net tuning.
Internal Testing Ahead of a Public Rollout
The presence of this build on a test vehicle indicates employees are validating the update in real-world conditions. It was installed on a Model Y L, the three-row, six-seat version of the Model Y that Tesla launched in the U.S. earlier this month.
Tesla is offering the Model Y L in an exclusive Launch Series trim for early buyers, with customer deliveries slated to begin in September. Shoppers can already see the Model Y L at Tesla stores and showrooms across the U.S.
With internal validation underway across test fleets, FSD 14.3.7 is expected to complete testing and begin rolling out to consumer vehicles in the next couple of weeks or so. More details about what FSD 14.3.7 contains and how it drives will be available once the update officially launches.
