Tesla Launches Dedicated Self-Driving Section in Tesla App

Tesla owners can now review their autonomous driving habits on mobile. Instead of checking Full Self-Driving (Supervised) stats from the vehicle, key usage metrics are appearing in the Tesla app.
Tesla said in its Summer 2026 Software Update announcement that a mobile version of the in-car Self-Driving app was coming. That rollout has started, ahead of the Summer 2026 feature drop expected with software update 2026.26.
In-Car Stats Move to Your Phone

The standalone Self-Driving app first launched in Europe, then expanded globally to vehicle touchscreens with the Spring 2026 Software Update. With Tesla app version 4.59.0, the same insights are now available on your phone.
Opening the Self-Driving menu in the app shows a detailed summary of driving history. A ring graphic presents the percentage of total miles driven using FSD, which also appears in the app’s navigation panel under Self-Driving. You can see your current daily FSD usage streak (only counts days the car was actually driven), your longest continuous FSD streak (in miles), and total self-driven miles since FSD version 14.2.

The interface includes a monthly bar chart of self-driven miles. Tapping a month reveals its total distance, but you can’t scroll backward or forward beyond the months currently displayed. A Share button lets you export an image of your stats to your phone’s photo gallery.
Feature Guides and Compatibility

Beyond metrics, the section serves as a learning hub for key driving features, similar to the Self-Driving app in the vehicle. The Learn More area includes guides on FSD features like Speed Profiles, which can be set to Sloth, Chill, Standard, Hurry, or Mad Max. It also covers Arrival Options such as Park and Pull Over, along with overviews of Actually Smart Summon and the car’s camera-based safety systems.
The Self-Driving section in the mobile app is available now for HW4 vehicles running FSD v14.2 or later, as well as HW3 vehicles running FSD v14 Lite (which started rolling out publicly this week). Updating the Tesla app to version 4.59.0 or higher enables viewing of FSD stats on mobile.
