FSD v14.3 to merge with Spring 2026 Update features soon

Spring 2026 software update

For the past month, Tesla’s fleet has been split: vehicles on the mainstream branch have received the feature-rich Spring 2026 Software Update, while cars on the Full Self-Driving (FSD) branch have been missing those additions. That gap now appears close to closing.

Asked on X when FSD v14.3 would merge with the Spring Update features, Kalena Brown from Tesla’s AI development team responded with a GIF that said "Soon." The combined release will give current FSD v14.3 users the latest spring cabin features and allow mainstream users already on the Spring 2026 Software Update to move to the newest FSD build. The FSD version itself is expected to remain at 14.3.2.

Update: The merged update, version 2026.14.6.6, including Spring Update features and FSD v14.3.3, is now rolling out to early access testers. This release also brings some FSD changes alongside the Spring Update features.

The Massive Spring 2026 Feature Drop

The Spring 2026 Software Update is packed with upgrades, rivaling Tesla’s major holiday releases. First delivered under firmware version 2026.14 last month, it brings a wide range of enhancements to the in-cabin experience on supported vehicles.

Highlights include a new Self-Driving app that centralizes subscriptions, tutorials, and detailed usage statistics into a single dashboard. The update also adds a native, hands-free "Hey Grok" wake word for xAI’s in-car assistant, enabling voice-activated, location-based reminders and more. Other additions include a rebranded Pet Mode with custom name and avatar options, interactive navigation maps for rear-seat passengers, and higher-quality studio-style parked visualizations for the new Model 3 and refreshed Model Y.

What FSD v14.3.2 Brings to the Table

On the autonomy front, FSD v14.3.2 delivers notable improvements in driving smoothness and confidence. The most fundamental change is a unified core AI across consumer FSD, Actually Smart Summon (ASS), and the commercial Robotaxi platform. This alignment produces more consistent behavior and significantly speeds up Actually Smart Summon, making it more practical for everyday parking lot scenarios.

FSD disengagement menu

The latest FSD v14.3 builds also add key safety and reporting behaviors. If repeated attention alerts are ignored, the vehicle can now safely pull out of active traffic and park on a shoulder instead of stopping in-lane. In addition, telemetry collection has been refined with an updated FSD disengagement menu that effectively makes intervention feedback mandatory, remaining on-screen until the driver specifies the reason for taking over.

Paving the Way for a Massive Fleet Expansion

Unifying the FSD and Spring update branches streamlines Tesla’s codebase ahead of larger efforts such as the 10x parameter upgrade coming in FSD v15. Getting most of the fleet on the same software also improves data quality for engineering. While HW3 vehicles with Intel Atom infotainment are receiving many Spring Update features, they are expected to wait until later this summer for FSD v14 Lite to access the latest self-driving capabilities.

FSD v15 for HW4 vehicles is slated for later this year and is expected to debut a 10-billion-parameter neural network, enabling a broader commercial expansion of the Robotaxi network. With a unified FSD v14.3 plus Spring Update now teased, owners across both branches should keep an eye out for updates in the coming days.
