Tesla previously updated the Energy App back in December 2024, providing owners with a clearer picture of their vehicle’s power consumption. With the rollout of the 2026 Spring Update (2026.14), the company is extending its energy tracking and trip management tools with a broad set of enhancements.

New Energy Widgets
One of the most visible changes is the addition of energy graphs directly within the widgets near the music player for the Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck.
Instead of opening the full Energy app to view energy graphs, you can now access them from the trips widget at the bottom left corner of the display. As before, swipe left on the music player to reach the Trips widgets, and now swipe down to reveal a new interface that shows an energy graph for each trip meter.

Trips in Energy App
The update also overhauls the dedicated Trips menu, removing earlier limitations of trip meters.
Trip meters now live inside the Energy app instead of a section in Settings. The Energy app presents three tabs: Drive, Park and Trips. With this move, Tesla is adding several features.
Drivers are no longer limited to just two custom trip meters (Trip A and Trip B). The Trips section retains the existing meters such as Current Drive, Since Last Charge, and others, and now lets you add unlimited custom trips.
Each trip meter now has its own energy graph, letting you view consumption over specific periods of the trip.
The default view is an overview of all your trips; tapping a trip opens a more detailed view with additional options. To keep things organized, you can assign a custom name to each trip.
Trips can be reset or paused, allowing you to record only a portion of a journey.

Reducing the Guesswork with Range
By integrating these visualization tools into the quick cards and greatly expanding the Trips menu, Tesla makes it easier for drivers to understand how their vehicle uses energy. The changes aim to reduce range uncertainty by providing clear, easily accessible data.
