Update 2026.38 Adds 3D Supercharger Site Maps to Intel Atom Teslas
Tesla is extending 3D Supercharger Site Maps to older vehicles with Intel Atom infotainment hardware. The capability, previously available on newer AMD Ryzen builds, now arrives with software update 2026.38, narrowing the feature gap between generations. The rollout covers legacy Model S, Model X, Model 3, and Model Y, moving them closer to parity with current models.

How 3D Site Maps Work on Intel Displays
When navigating to a supported Supercharger, tapping the “View Site Map” button brings up an interactive, real-time 3D layout of the location on the center display. The view can also appear automatically upon arrival at compatible sites.
Instead of only listing stall counts, the digital representation shows the physical orientation of stalls, access lanes, and bollards. Each pedestal is color coded to indicate status—Available, Occupied, or Down—and stalls in use display the type of vehicle currently charging. Tesla has also added dedicated models for the Cybercab. With live availability shown en route, drivers can choose a pull-through stall for a trailer or decide which side of the site to approach based on open pedestals.

Beyond Site Maps, update 2026.38 includes visual refinements for older vehicles, such as higher-fidelity vehicle models on the center screen and an improved parked animation for legacy Hardware 3 cars.
From 18 Test Sites to Global Coverage
3D Supercharger Site Maps debuted in the 2025 Holiday Update with 18 pilot locations in California and Texas. Coverage expanded to Canada earlier this spring and is now available at nearly all Supercharger locations across North America. The feature also arrived in the Tesla app, where the company has said it will continue improving the mobile implementation over future updates.

Because 3D rendering can tax older processors, it would not have been surprising if this feature had remained exclusive to AMD systems. Bringing it to Intel Atom vehicles indicates the feature has been optimized for aging silicon, helping older models remain capable.
