Tesla marks certain installation milestones with distinctive Supercharger designs around the world. Below are notable examples and what each commemorates.
Unit 10,000 — Shanghai

Installed at the base of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in Shanghai, this unit marked the 10,000th Supercharger installation and is finished in Tesla red. Adjacent stalls are labeled 9,998 and 9,999, leading up to the 10,000th unit.
Unit 50,000 — Ultra Red in California

The first special Supercharger arrived in 2023, when they installed an Ultra Red Supercharger. It marks the 50,000th Supercharger installation globally and was placed at Living Spaces, 1851 Freedom Way, Roseville, California.
In 11 years, starting with the original 12 Superchargers in 2012, Tesla built over 50,000 fast DC chargers. The network has surpassed 75,000 Superchargers worldwide.
Australia 100th

Tesla Australia and New Zealand celebrated the 100th Supercharger site with a post on X. The yellow-and-green unit was photographed at the beach and then installed in Glenelg, South Australia, using Australia’s colors.

Hong Kong 400th
Hong Kong’s 400th Supercharger unit went live in August 2024 with a special wrap. The unit is labeled #400 in Hong Kong and features the Hong Kong skyline. It was installed on the 10-year anniversary of the first Supercharger in Hong Kong (August 2014).

500th Flag Design
Supercharger unit 500 in Austria, Denmark, and Japan received special wraps. The Austrian unit carries the Austrian flag, and the Danish unit carries the Danish flag, both with a pixelated treatment.
The U.S. and Canada are already beyond the 500 mark.

1,000th in South Korea
South Korea’s 1,000th unit is located in Incheon-Yeonsu and features traditional Korean patterns. Like other milestone units, it sits on a small pedestal with a commemorative plaque.

1st in South America
Chile’s first Supercharger is also the first Supercharger in South America. Tesla launched its Supercharger network in South America in late 2024. At the same time, Tesla entered Chile with two stores opening in Santiago.
This unit uses a digital flag design on a V4 Supercharger.

Unit 60,000 — Japan
Unit 60,000 is positioned next to number 600 in Japan. The 60,000th unit is gray, while the 600th unit in Japan features Origami cranes.

United Kingdom
A special charger in the United Kingdom commemorates its 2,000th Supercharger stall.

Taiwan

This site marks the 700th unit in Taiwan. The Supercharger itself acknowledges the milestone, and the entire site is painted red with large, illuminated “700” signage.
Saudi Arabia

This unit celebrates the first Supercharger installed in Saudi Arabia and appears in colors that differ from the usual white/red chargers.
