This update includes FSD v14.2.2.4. The release notes are unchanged from FSD v14.2.2.3.

FSD (Supervised) v14.2.2.4

Full Self-Driving (Supervised) v14.2.2.4 includes:

  • Upgraded the neural network vision encoder, using higher-resolution features to improve situations such as reacting to emergency vehicles, obstacles in the roadway, and human gestures. (New in FSD v14.2)
  • Added Arrival Options so you can choose where FSD should park: Parking Lot, Street, Driveway, Parking Garage, or Curbside.
  • Added logic to pull over or yield for emergency vehicles (e.g., police, fire trucks, ambulances).
  • Integrated navigation and routing into the vision-based neural network for real-time handling of closures and detours.
  • Introduced an additional Speed Profile to further tailor driving style.
  • Improved handling of static and moving gates.
  • Improved offsetting around road debris (e.g., tires, branches, boxes).
  • Improved behavior in a range of scenarios including unprotected turns, lane changes, vehicle cut-ins, and interactions with school buses.
  • Enhanced FSD’s ability to manage system faults and recover smoothly from degraded operation for increased reliability.
  • Added alerts for residue buildup on the interior windshield that may reduce front camera visibility. If affected, schedule Service for cleaning.
  • Added automatic narrow-field washing for rapid, efficient front camera self-cleaning, and optimized aerodynamic washing at higher speeds. (2026+ Model Y only)
  • Camera visibility issues can increase attention monitoring sensitivity. (New in FSD v14.2.1)

Upcoming improvements:

  • Overall smoothness and sentience.
  • Parking spot selection and parking quality.

Arrival Options

  • Select an arrival type such as Parking Lot, Street, Driveway, Parking Garage, or Curbside for Robotaxi-style drop-offs.
  • Preferences for arrival options and preferred parking positions are saved per destination.
  • A reasoning model evaluates appropriate options for your destination and chooses an intuitive default.
  • The navigation pin adjusts based on the selected Arrival Option. (Added to the notes in FSD v14.2.2)

Speed Profiles

FSD (Supervised) now sets appropriate speed using a combination of driver profile, speed limits, and surrounding traffic.

  • New Speed Profile SLOTH, with lower speeds and more conservative lane choices than CHILL.
  • New Speed Profile MAD MAX, with higher speeds and more frequent lane changes than HURRY.
  • Driver profile now more strongly influences behavior; more assertive profiles allow a higher maximum speed.
  • The right scroll wheel now adjusts the Speed Profile instead of a precise mph/kph offset.

UI Improvements

  • View Self-Driving stats under Controls > Autopilot. (Added to the notes in FSD v14.2.2)
  • Start Self-Driving with a tap on the touchscreen from Park or at any time during a drive.
  • Adjust settings such as Speed Profile and Arrival Options directly from the Autopilot visualization on the center display.

Brake Confirm

Brake Confirm for the Start Self-Driving button is now off by default. When disabled, starting Self-Driving does not require pressing and releasing the brake.

Enable it under Autopilot > Brake Confirm.

Full Self-Driving (Supervised)

With your active supervision, Full Self-Driving (Supervised) can drive your vehicle nearly anywhere. It can start from a parked position, change lanes, choose forks to follow your route, navigate around other vehicles and objects, make left and right turns, and park at your destination. You and anyone you authorize must remain attentive and use extra caution. This does not make the vehicle autonomous.

Full Self-Driving (Supervised) is enabled on your vehicle. To use it, press the Start Self-Driving button on the UI or press the right scroll wheel once. You can disable it in Autopilot settings.

Grok with Navigation Commands (Beta)

Grok can now add and edit navigation destinations as your personal guide. Ask Grok to navigate to the best Thai restaurant nearby, find a Supercharger within walking distance of a coffee shop, or plan a romantic sightseeing tour. Requires Premium Connectivity or Wi‑Fi. Conversations are anonymous and not associated with your vehicle.

Set Grok’s personality to Assistant to use Navigation Commands. Open App Launcher > Grok, or long-press the steering wheel voice button after signing in to Grok.

Tesla Photobooth

Turn your car into a photobooth. Take selfies from inside the vehicle and apply fun filters, stickers, and emojis. Share photos through the Tesla app. The vehicle must be in Park. Requires Tesla app version 4.51.5+.

Open App Launcher > Toybox > Photobooth.

Dog Mode Live Activity on iOS

When Dog Mode is active, a Live Activity appears on your iPhone showing real-time cabin temperature and climate updates. With Premium Connectivity, you’ll also receive periodic cabin snapshots. Requires Tesla app version 4.51.5+.

Enjoy holiday-themed effects year-round. Santa Mode now adds snowmen, trees, a festive lock chime, and snow effects for a 3D visual experience.

Open App Launcher > Toybox > Santa.

Note: Although these updates may not appear in the release notes for legacy Model S and Model X vehicles, the feature is included.

Light Show Update

Celebrate with the new Light Show “Jingle Rush.” You can play instantly or schedule up to 10 minutes in advance, whether on a single vehicle or synchronized with friends. Enthusiasts can control interior lighting, add display color effects, and create longer custom shows. To play a custom show, save files in a “LightShow” folder on a USB drive, connect it, and select the show.

Start from the Tesla app or open App Launcher > Toybox > Light Show.

Paint Shop

Personalize your vehicle avatar with window tint, custom wraps, and license plate designs. Use built-in designs or create and load your own from a USB drive.

Open App Launcher > Toybox > Paint Shop or tap the paint or license plate icon under Controls > Software.

Paint Shop Upgrade

Paint Shop now lets you customize Cybertruck with new wraps, tint options, and license plate styles.

Open App Launcher > Toybox > Paint Shop.

Navigation Improvements

Navigation can automatically use HOV (carpool) lanes based on time, passenger count, and road restrictions.

Go to Controls > Navigation > Use HOV.

Supercharger Site Maps

View a 3D site map at select Superchargers by tapping “View Site Map.” When navigating to a pilot location, the site layout and live occupancy (Available / Occupied / Down) are shown upon arrival.

Full Self-Driving (Supervised)

With your supervision, Full Self-Driving (Supervised) can start from Park, make lane changes, follow navigation at forks, navigate around vehicles and objects, make turns, and park at your destination. Stay attentive; this does not make the vehicle autonomous.

To use it, press Start Self-Driving on the UI or press the right scroll wheel once. You can disable the feature in Autopilot settings.

Phone Left On Wireless Charger

The vehicle will chime a few seconds after doors close if a phone is left on the wireless charger and no occupants are detected.

Controls > Locks > Phone Left On Wireless Charger Chime.

Phone Left Behind

The vehicle will chime a few seconds after doors close if a phone key remains in the cabin or a phone is left on the wireless charger and no occupants are detected. Phone key detection requires UWB-supported devices.

Controls > Locks > Phone Left Behind Chime.

New Wheel Options

New wheel designs introduced on Standard Model 3 and Model Y are now available to equip in the vehicle visualization across all models. The 18” Prismata (Model 3) and 18” Aperture wheels are available in the tire section. To view or select, go to Controls > Service and choose tires and wheels.

Express Lanes

Support for Express Lanes has been added on some vehicles. Similar to HOV or toll lanes, Express Lanes may offer faster travel with fees based on occupancy, vehicle type, and time of day. An option to use Express Lanes appears in navigation settings. Availability may vary while testing continues.

Supercharger Live Maps Show Exact Models

New Supercharger Site Maps not only render sites in real time but also show the vehicle model at each stall. You can see whether each stall has an original Model Y, the new Model Y, a Cybertruck, or a non-Tesla vehicle. These maps also help identify open stalls, their locations, accessible stalls, and pull-through bays.

Dashcam Viewer Zoom Support

While viewing a clip in Dashcam Viewer, you can now pinch to zoom and pan around the video while zoomed. Note: Limited to vehicles with the AMD Ryzen infotainment processor.

Camera Visibility Warning Improvement

Camera visibility warnings now label the affected camera view, so you know exactly which camera needs cleaning. The display resembles the Dashcam Viewer with an overlaid camera location. Labels include Front (windshield camera) and Fascia (front bumper camera).

V4 Supercharger Visualization

Charging visualizations on the vehicle display now include a unique visualization for V4 Superchargers, alongside existing visuals for the mobile connector, Wall Connector, V2/V3 Superchargers, and generic third-party chargers.

Wrap & License Plate Icons

Access wrap and license plate options via Controls > Software. Beneath the vehicle visualization, you’ll see the selected plate image and a wrapping paper icon linking directly to vehicle visualization options. The new icon replaces the previous color square used for Colorizer.

Car Wash Mode Notification

You’ll now receive a reminder to enable Car Wash Mode when the vehicle detects you’re near a car wash, making it easy to turn on the mode. This is part of broader Car Wash Mode improvements.

Parking Brake

The ability to manually enable the emergency (parking) brake has been removed from the vehicle display. Previously located under Controls > Safety, this option no longer appears. You can still enable the emergency brake using the gear stalk or the Park icon on the touchscreen.

Car Wash Mode Redesign

Car Wash Mode has been redesigned. It now shows a vehicle visualization on the right and a real-time checklist on the left. If any settings are not correct, such as an open window or trunk, the corresponding indicator turns red. The “Enable Free Roll” option is also more prominent, making it easier to place the vehicle into neutral.

Switch to Bluetooth

If your phone is connected via Bluetooth and the vehicle detects active audio playback on the phone, it will prompt you to switch the vehicle’s audio source to Bluetooth so audio plays through the car’s speakers.

New Visualizations With Unreal Engine

The new visualizations previously available on the 2026 Model S and Model X are now available on all 2021+ Model S and Model X. In addition to improved visuals in the instrument cluster and menus, you can freely rotate the vehicle visualization in Controls to view it from any angle. The parked module that lets you open doors and trunks is also interactive, supporting pan and zoom.

Air Suspension Controls

Air suspension controls for Model S and Model X now appear in the main Controls section, instead of requiring the Suspension tab. 2026 models already include this change. 2025 and older vehicles retain the earlier, more detailed Suspension menu instead of the simplified 2026 version.

Boomerang Fu Game Removed

Boomerang Fu has been removed and replaced by SpaceX Docking Simulator. The previous title’s license likely expired following its inclusion in last year’s holiday update.

Favorites On Map

Favorites and Home/Work improvements include pinning all your favorites, Home, and Work locations directly on the map. Home/Work icons appear in the Navigate box with your top suggestions below. This makes it easier to orient yourself as you move the map and to see when you’re near a saved favorite.

View Dashcam Storage

You can now view your Dashcam USB drive’s storage usage, including the space used by Dashcam and total drive size.

Go to Controls > Safety and scroll to Dashcam.

Dashcam Filters

Dashcam Viewer now adds automatic categories for Dashcam and Sentry Mode clips, organizing videos by triggers such as Honk, Manual Save, Handle Pull, and more.

Hebrew Language Added

You can now select Hebrew as the touchscreen language.

To change language, shift into Park, then go to Controls > Display > Touchscreen Language.

Service Mode Improvements

Thermal Control Components Panel

A new Thermal Control Components panel supports thermal noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) diagnosis. It enables individual component control, target setting, and sweeping across operating ranges with real-time feedback. Includes a static 3D view of the heat pump, radiator, blower motor, louver, and pumps.
