What's Changed in Tesla FSD v14.2.2.4

Tesla has started rolling out FSD v14.2.2.4 to customers in small waves via software update 2025.45.9. The official release notes are the same as the base v14.2.2 build, but early testing indicates this point release focuses on polishing and improving smoothness, navigation logic, and handling of complex environments.

Polishing A Gem

Reviews from early testers highlight a few specifics. The build is still an FSD v14.2.2 variant, but testers report it feels a bit more polished than the prior release.

The improvements are most noticeable in lane discipline on winding roads: FSD holds a better center position between lane lines at higher speeds and makes improved decisions when performing passes on multi-lane roads.

Speed profiles appear unchanged overall, though testers note minor hesitancy when creeping toward and after stop signs. That creeping hesitancy can be beneficial for safety, but it may also make FSD seem less confident to drivers, which can reduce trust.

Testers also report some navigation behavior improvements that could address a persistent FSD v14 issue: the navigation system sometimes routed drivers with three left turns instead of a right, or skipped a highway exit and then looped back. This build reportedly shows fixes in several of those unusual cases.

Another Small Step Toward Autonomy

Although the version number FSD v14.2.2.4 is lengthy, it represents another refined build that Tesla's AI team has tuned. These incremental point releases let the team test changes to the neural networks during training and can shape adjustments in larger upcoming releases, such as FSD v14.3, which is expected to include expanded reasoning capabilities.

We expect this build to keep rolling out, and we're hopeful for FSD v14.3 soon, which Musk has previously teased as feeling sentient. For now, be sure to check out the undocumented features of FSD v14.
