Tesla’s 2026.26 Summer Update introduced Grok commands for calls, music and climate controls, preferred routes, and automatic navigation that adapts to your routine. It also added custom wrap uploads from your phone, adjustable driving visualization zoom, and Caraoke scoring on supported vehicles.

Beyond those headline items, the update contains several smaller changes that weren’t listed in the release notes. Here are the undocumented additions in 2026.26.

New Tesla Wraps

New designs have been added to the digital vehicle wrap feature, including the Summer Camp wrap that was promoted with the 2026 Summer Update.

Shift Icon on Instrument Cluster

The instrument cluster on the Model S and Model X now displays an icon when shifting into drive or reverse, making the state change more apparent.

Destination Icons

Previously, destination icons were the same color except for Superchargers. Icons now use category colors: for example, parks are green, restaurants are orange, and stores are blue.

Rear Screen Lyrics Removed

Caraoke has been updated, and the rear screen in supported vehicles no longer shows lyrics during use. Instead, users can view lyrics on their mobile devices, a capability added in this update.

Browser Bookmark Sync

Web browser bookmarks now sync with your Tesla data, making them available across all of your vehicles.

Web Browser Zoom

The browser’s default zoom has been increased so content appears larger. On some sites such as X or YouTube, this can trigger a different viewport, making the layout resemble a tablet or mobile version. Although the browser is based on Chromium, the zoom level cannot be adjusted manually.

Visualization Zoom Shortcut

While driving, you can change the visualization zoom using a small magnifying glass icon near the top-right of the visualization. Tapping it cycles through 0.5x, 1x, and 2x. If full-screen visualizations are enabled, the icon appears in the bottom-left corner.

Grok Voice Improvements

Grok now uses Grok Voice Think Fast 2.0. Grok Voice is a speech-to-speech engine that helps it better understand an individual’s voice and tone instead of only converting speech to text. It also improves Grok’s speech output, making it sound more human-like.

Grok Highlights Menus

When Grok opens a setting or feature, the relevant area is now highlighted with a pulsating blue effect.

Improved Lighting in Visualization

In update 2026.14, Tesla switched to Unreal Engine for vehicle renderings, which initially caused some color and lighting inaccuracies. The latest update adjusts lighting to make vehicle colors more accurate.

Service Mode Improvements

Entering Service Mode now enables a default profile that isolates customer data, reducing the risk of technicians accessing media accounts or changing personal settings during service.

Models: All

The Signal Viewer panel now supports viewing multiple CAN signals on the same chart for easier comparison and analysis. Signals can be dragged between charts to group related data, moved to an empty space to create a new chart, or reordered by dragging chart cards. Charts can be paused to inspect specific values and resumed to continue live streaming.

Models: Model 3 and Model Y with AMD Ryzen infotainment processor, Model S (2021+), Model X (2021+), Cybertruck

Rear Spoiler Visualization

On the Model Y Performance, the vehicle’s spoiler has been restored in the in-car visualization.

FSD Arrival Icons

If you’re on FSD v14.3.9, you’ll also see updated destination icons. Where it previously showed only a P for park, the icon now has a white border and switches between a P and a vehicle icon when Pull Over is chosen instead of Park for the arrival option.

Next Update

Tesla’s next update, version 2026.32, is already rolling out to some vehicles. It includes wheel visualizations without the aero covers, improvements to Apple Music, and an ad blocker in the Tesla browser. Look for it in your vehicle in the coming weeks.
