Tesla Launches Model Y L Accessories in the U.S.

Tesla has rolled out official Model Y L accessories in the U.S. as the first customer deliveries approach. The three-row, six-seat Model Y L officially arrived stateside earlier this summer, with the initial wave of handoffs expected later this month. After first launching in China and expanding to Australia, New Zealand, and other Asia-Pacific markets, the long-wheelbase variant is now getting U.S.-specific availability for many of its tailored parts.

Most of the region-specific accessories sized for the Model Y L’s larger cabin are now listed on the U.S. Tesla Shop, letting buyers order hardware ahead of delivery. Early reservation holders also receive the Launch Series package with initial Model Y L orders.

Sunshades

Door Sill Guards

Tesla now offers All-Weather Rear Door Sill Guards to help keep dirt and debris off the sills when entering or exiting. A pair for the rear doors is $95.

Trunk Storage Bins

Custom-molded Trunk Storage Bins for the rear cargo wells are priced at $80. The set includes water-resistant left and right injection-molded thermoplastic inserts to hold wet muddy shoes, roadside tools, or dirty gear. Each bin includes a matching carpeted lid that sits fully flush with the trunk floor to maintain a flat load surface.

Model Y L Roof Rack ($500)

Due to the stretched roofline and altered attachment points, the Model Y L uses a dedicated crossbar system engineered to minimize wind turbulence and interior noise.

Priced at $500, the rack supports a 165-pound load capacity. The aluminum crossbars integrate T-slots for mounting bike racks, ski carriers, and rooftop cargo boxes. Die-cast towers include integrated security key locks, and installation is designed for DIY fitment without drilling. The aerodynamic profile benefits owners aiming to maximize the Model Y L’s EPA-rated range of 332 miles on the stock 19-inch wheels.

Model Y L Car Cover ($195)

The fitted Model Y L Car Cover costs $195 and uses a three-layer composite: two outer layers of woven polyester with a breathable thermoplastic polyurethane membrane in the middle to block water.

It adds reinforced grommets for security tie cables, a soft interior fleece lining to protect paint, and charge port access flaps with mesh panels so cooling fans can operate while charging.

Parcel Shelf ($125)

The retractable Model Y L Parcel Shelf is $125. It clips into two included magnetic side-mount brackets to hide items behind the third row, reduce luggage rattle, and help shield cargo from direct sunlight.

Cross-Compatible Essentials

Several standard Model Y accessories remain compatible with the Model Y L, including front trunk ambient lighting strips, illuminated door sill puddle projectors, lumbar pillows, frunk bins, and front console organizers. Tesla also offers a vehicle-to-load (V2L) power adapter that works with both the Model Y and Model Y L.

Accessories That Didn’t Make It

Some items available in other regions have not reached the U.S. store yet. These include privacy shades for the side windows and a dedicated air mattress for the Model Y L. Tesla’s air mattresses are designed to match each vehicle’s contours, and a tailor-made version for the Model Y L is not yet available.

With official accessories now live, Model Y L reservation holders can get road trip gear in place ahead of delivery day.
