Tesla Adds FSD Stats Rainbow Easter Egg to Tesla App [VIDEO]

Tesla frequently builds hidden features into its products, and even some product names draw on pop culture references.

Although the company has largely moved away from fully hidden easter eggs in favor of making them accessible through the Toy Box, a few remain, including breaking the glass on the Cybertruck.

The company has now added another easter egg in the Tesla app.

Rainbow Stats

The recently added FSD Stats in the Tesla app lets drivers see how many miles they have driven on FSD. With the introduction of FSD v14 Lite for HW3 vehicles, those owners now have access to the feature as well.

A rainbow effect has been added to the percentage donut graph on the left. If you tap the graph rapidly five times, it changes from blue to a rainbow effect, similar to Rainbow Road inside the vehicle.

The effect is most noticeable when a large percentage of your driving has been done by FSD. This easter egg works on Android and iOS.

In the Vehicle In the Future?

Currently, this easter egg is active only in the Tesla app and not in the vehicle, even though both platforms share the same underlying web code for FSD stats.

It’s possible the code is built into the vehicle’s software instead of being fetched each time, so a newer vehicle update may be required for the effect to appear in the vehicle.
