Tesla Launches USB-Powered Model 3 Air Mattress for Camping
Camping inside your Tesla Model 3 is getting more comfortable, especially for those who prefer first-party accessories. Tesla Shop has introduced the new Model 3 Air Mattress in North America, a custom sleep solution designed for the sedan.
Longtime Tesla watcher @niccruzpatane spotted the product on Tesla’s online store, where it is priced at $235. “The Model 3 Air Mattress fits snuggly across the flat-folded rear seats and trunk of Model 3, giving you extra comfort during your overnight trips or afternoon naps,” the product listing reads. “Three-inch high-density foam creates a soft landing pad within a durable, waterproof polyester exterior. Quickly inflate with the integrated air pump and, after you’ve gotten some rest, deflate and store the mattress in your vehicle’s sub trunk.”
Built-In Pump and Perfect Fit
The package includes one air mattress with an integrated air pump measuring 82.7" x 51.6" x 3.9", a carry bag, and a repair kit. It works with all generations of the Model 3.
Unlike many aftermarket options, the Model 3 Air Mattress includes a USB-C-powered air pump built in. Plug the integrated cord into the rear USB-C ports to inflate it in a couple of minutes. When you’re finished, deflate it, place it in the included carry bag, and store it in the sub-trunk.
Official accessories tailored to a vehicle’s cabin often sell quickly. The Model 3 Air Mattress is currently out of stock, but interested buyers can sign up for restock notifications on the store page.
Expanding the Car Camping Family
This release adds to Tesla’s growing outdoor gear lineup. Just last week, Tesla launched a custom air mattress for the Cybertruck’s truck bed as part of this year’s “Summer Collection” products. The new Model 3 Air Mattress adds to this lineup.
For the Model Y, Tesla has offered air mattresses since 2024. The company also started selling a single-person Model Y air mattress so solo travelers can keep half of the trunk available for storage, though that smaller version has not yet reached the North American market.
