Not yet. As of October 19, 2026 Tesla has not released Apple CarPlay. Bloomberg first reported it in November 2025, and it did not ship in the Holiday 2025 or Spring 2026 updates.

Everything here is from public reports. Tesla has not confirmed a date.
It started with a Bloomberg report in November 2025
Bloomberg reported on November 13, 2025 that Tesla was developing Apple CarPlay and had tested it internally. Tesla and Apple declined to comment. The report said Tesla was working on standard CarPlay, not CarPlay Ultra, and that the project could still be canceled.

It missed Holiday 2025 and Spring 2026
The Holiday 2025 update did not include CarPlay. In early February 2026 Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said Tesla was still working on it. Tesla's Spring 2026 update, announced around April 13, added a Self-Driving app, a Grok wake phrase and Pet Mode, but no CarPlay.

Bloomberg reported that Apple Maps and Tesla's own navigation did not work well together while Autopilot was engaged. Apple reportedly changed Maps in an iOS 26 update to fix it, and Tesla is said to be waiting for more iPhones to update.
Apple's early figure was 74% of iPhones from the past four years on iOS 26.

Reports say Tesla's CarPlay would run in a window next to Tesla's own software, not take over the whole screen. Bloomberg also says Tesla has no plans to add Android Auto.

The first reports did not say which models or hardware would be supported. A later report suggested it could be limited to newer cars with the AMD processor, and that is also unconfirmed.

On October 14, 2026, the developers behind Tesla Android Project showed CarPlay and AirPlay running in a window on a modified Tesla with an AMD Ryzen processor. They said it uses a known exploit in the car's computer that could be patched, and it is not a finished product for owners.
Autoevolution wrote that Tesla's own CarPlay "might have been axed already." Not a Tesla App expects it with this year's Holiday Update. Both are guesses.
