Tesla saw the departure of two members of its product and retail teams last month: Jose del Corral, Tesla 19s Head of Product, and Ryan Torres, Staff Program Manager for Retail Programs. Both left last week.
The moves come shortly after the departure of Thomas Dmytryk, who played a role in building out Tesla 19s OTA update infrastructure and, more recently, worked on the Robotaxi.
Jose del Corral Moves to Crypto
After nearly eight years at Tesla, del Corral announced his next step on social media. He is officially joining the cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinbase to lead its Customer Experience division.
In his announcement, del Corral voiced enthusiasm about a major industry transition, saying that very few companies get a chance to help rebuild the financial system from the ground up and that it is hard to think of a more important place to be right now. He added that he is ready to start building and will work closely with Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and President Emilie Choi.
During his tenure, del Corral helped oversee transitions in Tesla 19s vehicle lineup and software ecosystems, shaping the user experience for millions of drivers.
Ryan Torres Steps Down
By contrast, Ryan Torres 19s exit drew little public attention. Torres served as Tesla 19s Staff Program Manager for Retail Programs and worked on how consumers interact with the brand and its showrooms.
He was also one of the customer experience managers and frequently helped resolve customer issues surfaced on X.
Torres has not announced his next role or projects. His LinkedIn profile was recently updated to show March 2026 as the end date for his position at Tesla rather than listing the role as ongoing.
