Virtual Queue for Superchargers

Tesla is developing its Virtual Queue for Tesla Superchargers, allowing owners to wait in a digital line when a site is full instead of forming a physical queue with their vehicles.
When a driver is near a Supercharger that is at capacity, they can join the queue. Tesla will manage who charges next based on when the vehicle joined.
The update confirms that eligibility is determined using both the vehicle’s location and the driver’s location collected through the Tesla app.
“While the app is closed, Tesla uses your location to notify you of accurate wait times at Superchargers when you arrive.”
The app also includes prompts such as: “There is a waitlist to charge. Are you sure you want to start a charging session now?”
It will keep you informed of your place in line and the number of vehicles ahead, showing: “{{numCars}} cars ahead of you.”
The update contains Android-specific text as well, including: supercharger_queue_android_background_location_rationale
Notified If Earlier Appointment Become Available

When scheduling Tesla service, you select a date and time, and cancellations may create openings. The app adds an option to opt in to be notified if an earlier appointment becomes available.
“By opting in, we will put you on standby for an earlier appointment. If an earlier time becomes available, we'll contact you to coordinate rescheduling your visit.”
Tesla says this option will not be available at all service center locations, and earlier appointments are limited to the same service center and the same scheduled appointment length, which depends on the issue.
