Tesla Gift Charging Cards feature in update 4.52.1

Tesla is introducing Charging Mileage Cards, a form of Supercharger gift card that lets the recipient charge for free.

The company appears to be preparing functionality to let users gift these charging cards and to transfer or share them with friends. At present, the feature seems to be limited to China, though it may be expanded to other countries in the future.

Requirements: Undocumented

Models: S, 3, X, Y, CT

New strings related to charging mileage included in this update are:

  • "CHARGING_GET_MILEAGE_CARD_SHARE_MESSAGES"
  • "CHARGING_MILEAGE_CARD_TRANSFER"
  • "charging_balance_supercharging_mileage_card_wechat_friend"
