7 Tesla Model S Accessories Owners Actually Buy in 2026

Most lists open with floor mats. Model S owners ordered a $94.99 seal kit first, for the highway whistle at the windows. Ranked by a year of our orders, fit-checked 2016 to 2026.

“I have noticed that the big Tesla accessory providers have started discontinuing Model S accessories,” an owner wrote on r/TeslaModelS this March. It is true here too: most of our catalog is built for the Model 3 and Y, so this list is seven things with a real Model S fit and a year of Model S orders behind them.

#1

TeslaHubs™ ProGuard Noise and Weather Seal Kit

Best for: an S that got louder with ageFits 2016-20262-year warranty
ProGuard strip map for the Model S: pillars, doors, trunk and hood

Close the gaps where the wind gets in

“We do have incredibly loud noise while driving on highways and interstates in our 2018 S. I think it’s coming from part of the front passenger window’s weatherstripping.” That is a Model S owner on r/TeslaModelS, and we read the same thing again and again: wind getting past tired seals at the frameless windows and doors. Another owner put it in one line: “I notice the fixed 1/4 glass wind noise more than the road.”

ProGuard is a set of EPDM rubber strips cut for the Model S: both pillars, the front and rear doors, the trunk and the hood. They press into the existing seams on 3M™ tape and close the gaps the factory seals leave. 100% safe for your Tesla: no drilling, no cutting.

8 dB measured cabin noise reduction. Hold it to that number. And before you peel any tape, lay each strip against your doors: if a piece does not match your car, it goes back unused within 30 days.

Fit: two cuts. 2016-2021 and 2022-2026 (Refresh, Plaid). Same price for both.

Fit: the 2016-2021 cut, for cars with the vertical screen. 2021 refresh with the landscape screen? The store sells that car its Refresh / Plaid cut: pick 2022-2026 at the top.

Fit: the 2022-2026 cut, Refresh and Plaid. One Plaid owner put the problem plainly on Tesla Motors Club: “My 2021 Model S Plaid I just got a month ago had some wind noise on the highway.” One buyer with a 2026 S wrote that the trunk strip did not suit the trunk. If yours does not sit right, leave that one strip out; the doors and pillars are where the wind gets in.

“At first I was skeptical about its effectiveness and the strength of the tape, but now I can confidently say that it has been a life changer. The product exceeded my expectations, the noise is really reduced, all the strips are in place, not one has come off.”Ryan, Model S and Y owner, review on the ProGuard product page, March 22, 2024, 5 stars

Three install rules that keep every strip in place. Most low-star reviews from the last 90 days come down to skipping one of them. Strips letting go: the tape needs a clean, dry seam and firm pressure along the whole strip, so do it in a garage, not on a cold wet morning. No change heard: the gain is wind noise at highway speed around the doors and windows. Tire roar is a different problem; owners on r/TeslaModelS who chased a roar often found it in the tires (“Turns out the tires were the issue”), and no seal kit changes that. A video for a different car: the install video on the product page is filmed on another model, so place each strip by the Model S strip map in the box (shown above).

The trade-off: It takes patience: every strip has to be pressed along its whole length. It will not touch tire roar. And the newest cars start quieter (“My 2024 is quiet af,” one owner wrote), so if your S is quiet at 70 mph already, skip it.

TeslaHubs™ SpaceBox Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto

Best for: 2021+ owners who want CarPlay2021-2026, Ryzen only2-year warranty
SpaceBox on the console of a 2021-or-newer Model S with the landscape screen and yoke

CarPlay and Android Auto on the landscape screen, without a cable

“I really miss sending texts through Siri and audio reading of received texts.” That is a Model S owner on Tesla Motors Club after trading in a car that had CarPlay. As of October 2026 no Tesla runs Apple CarPlay natively: Tesla has said it is working on it, has given no date, and the 2026 spring update shipped without it.

SpaceBox plugs into the car's USB port and connects to your phone wirelessly, so CarPlay or Android Auto opens on the car's screen with your own maps, music and messages.

$139.99, against a $299.00 list price.

Fit: only a 2021 refresh with the AMD Ryzen computer. Check Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information. 2016-2020 cars: skip it.

Fit: Model S 2021 to 2026 with the AMD Ryzen computer only. Check before you buy: Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information. If it does not say AMD Ryzen, SpaceBox is not for your car.

“Connected with modelS seamlessly. AA with my Samsung phone works perfectly.”Rahsaan, review on the SpaceBox product page, April 10, 2024, 5 stars

Two buyers with older cars (a 2013 S and an MCU1 S) told us in their reviews that it did not work for them. Both were outside the fit above, and that is why the fit line is the first thing to check.

The trade-off: It is a box on the console and a cable to the USB port, and it adds a step when you get in while it connects. Pre-2021 cars: skip it.

2016-2020 S? SpaceBox will not connect without the AMD Ryzen computer that arrived with the 2021 refresh, so skip #2. 2021 refresh? Check Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information: if it says AMD Ryzen, #2 fits your car.

OmniVolt™ CCS1 and J1772 Charging Adapter

Best for: road trips past the Supercharger mapAny S; pre-2020 needs retrofitSales count: all Teslas
OmniVolt two-in-one CCS1 and J1772 adapter in hand at a charge port

Charge at CCS fast chargers and J1772 stations with one adapter

Those two are the Model S orders that were not close. From here the ranking counts every Tesla the product fits. The Supercharger network is the easy part. The trouble starts at a hotel or a highway stop that only has a CCS fast charger or a J1772 post.

OmniVolt is two adapters in one body: CCS1 for DC fast charging and an 80A J1772 side for Level 2 posts. UL 2252 Listed.

It opens up 12,000+ CCS fast chargers.

Fit: every Model S. Cars built before February 2020 need Tesla's one-time CCS retrofit before the CCS side works. Check: Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information > CCS Adapter Support.

Fit: your car takes it, but an S built before February 2020 needs Tesla's CCS retrofit first for fast charging. Check: Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information > CCS Adapter Support.

Fit: your 2022-2026 S was built after February 2020, the cut-off the product page gives for the retrofit. Confirm under Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information > CCS Adapter Support.

The trade-off: If you only charge at home and at Superchargers, you do not need it. Ranked by total sales across every Tesla it fits, not Model S alone.

TeslaHubs™ Aluminium Caliper Covers

Best for: the painted-caliper lookNot for PlaidSales count: Model S and X
Aluminium caliper cover in Performance Red, set of four

The red-caliper look in about 15 minutes, with no paint

The objection we read on r/TeslaModelS is fair: “They always look like covers.” Cheap plastic ones do. These are aluminium and powder-coated, cut per caliper, and painting the real calipers instead means a shop visit and brake work.

Four finishes: Performance Red, Cyber Cyan, Plaid Yellow and Stealth Black. They go over the factory calipers, and the product page calls it a 15-minute bolt-on: no glue, no modifications.

From $169.99 for the S, against $350.00 list. Owners on Tesla Motors Club report paying $440 to $800 to have calipers painted.

Fit: two cuts, S/X 2018-2022 and S/X 2023-2025. Not for Plaid or Performance models (stated on the product page). 2016-2017 and 2026 cars are not listed.

Fit: the S/X 2018-2022 cut for 2018-2021 cars. 2016-2017 cars are not listed. Not for Performance models.

Fit: 2022 cars take the S/X 2018-2022 cut; 2023-2025 cars take the S/X 2023-2025 cut. Not for Plaid. 2026 is not listed yet.

No review on the product page names a Model S yet, so we are not quoting one. Across all models the covers average 4.73 stars from 128 reviews, and you can read them there.

The trade-off: They change the look, not the braking. Plaid owners: skip them.

TeslaHubs™ Aluminium Rim Protectors

Best for: 19 and 21 inch wheels near curbs2021+ wheels onlySales count: all Teslas
Four aluminium rim protector rings next to a wheel

Let the ring take the curb, not the wheel

“We have a 21” wheel graveyard!!!” wrote one Model S owner on r/TeslaModelS. Another said it shorter on YouTube: “Curb rash hurts my soul.” One misjudged parallel park and the lip of a 21-inch wheel is scraped for good.

These are four aluminium rings that seat on the wheel's outer lip in the wheel's own finish, so the curb meets the ring first. Install takes 15 minutes, with no tools and no jack.

$199.99 for a set of four. Cosmetic curb-rash repair typically runs $75 to $150 per wheel.

Fit (from the product page): Model S Tempest 19-inch (2021+): order the 19-inch Gemini Silver set. Arachnid 21-inch, Plaid (2021+): order the 21-inch set in Überturbine Black (the finish name). Older Model S wheels are not listed.

The trade-off: Tell your tire shop they are on: one owner's installer had to take them off to change a tire. If you like the bare factory lip, or never park near a curb, skip them.

TeslaHubs™ Midnight Glow Door Lights

Best for: 2015-2020 carsNot for the 2021+ refreshSales count: Model S
Midnight Glow laser projection module in its aluminium housing

A sharp logo on the ground every time a door opens

The factory puddle lights on an older S are a plain white wash. These replace them with laser projectors in aluminium housings, behind glass lenses. Refresh owners: Tesla changed the puddle lamp to a 1-inch round fixture on the 2021+ S, so these do not fit your car.

They plug into the factory light connector. The set for the S is four lights, one per door.

$49.99 for all four doors.

Fit: list them for 2015-2020 cars only. The listing says 2015-2024, but a buyer with a 2022 S told us they did not fit, so we do not recommend them for the refresh.

“Says fits 2015 to 2024 Model S. I have a 2022 Model S and its the completely wrong size and shape. Does not fit the refreshed Model S after 2020.”Zachariah, review on the door lights product page, June 27, 2026, 1 star

The trade-off: Pure looks. If your car is a 2021 refresh or newer, skip them.

TeslaHubs™ Dupoint Headrest Pillow

Best for: long drivesAny Model S yearSales count: all Teslas
Black perforated headrest pillow

Neck support on a long drive

The Model S seat is built for the average driver, and on a four-hour drive the gap between your neck and the headrest shows.

A perforated, fibre-filled pillow that straps to the headrest. The straps fit the Model S, X, 3, Y and Cybertruck.

$49.99, in black, brown or white.

Fit: every Model S year.

The trade-off: A comfort item, not a fix. If the seat already fits you, skip it.

3 mistakes Model S owners make with accessories

  1. Buying a kit cut for a Model 3 or Y. The S is a bigger car with its own seams. ProGuard ships a Model S cut with its own strip map, and the caliper covers come in S/X cuts. A universal or Model 3/Y kit leaves gaps or ends in the bin.
  2. Assuming it fits both generations. The 2021 refresh changed more than the screen. Tesla moved to a 1-inch round puddle lamp, so door lights listed up to 2024 did not fit a buyer's 2022 S, and the rim protectors are cut for the refresh wheels only. That is why this page has a year switch.
  3. Buying a CarPlay box for a pre-2021 car. Without the AMD Ryzen computer, a wireless CarPlay adapter will not connect. Check Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information before you order, not after.

How we ranked this list

We went through a year of US orders from Model S owners, October 2025 to October 2026. The top two were not close: ProGuard first, SpaceBox second.

From #3 down, the order follows 12-month sales across every car the product fits, because a few of them share one listing across models. Each item says which count it is. Pick your year at the top and anything that does not fit your car drops out of the list. Specs and fit lines are from each product page.

We make and sell everything here, which is how we can see what Model S owners actually order. It is also why every item tells you what it does not do and who should skip it.

What we left off, and why

Most Model S lists open with floor mats, a console organizer and a sunshade. We do not sell any of those for the Model S right now, so they are not on this list. We would rather point you to seven things we can back for your year than pad it.

Also left off: a dash light whose Model S version did not fit (owners said so, and we pulled it), and single replacement seals, which ProGuard already covers.

Questions Model S owners ask

Which of these fit my Model S?

Every Model S from 2016: ProGuard (pick your cut), OmniVolt and the headrest pillow. 2021 and newer: SpaceBox and the rim protectors. 2018-2025, not Plaid: caliper covers. 2015-2020 only: door lights. The year switch at the top filters the list for you.

How long does the install take?

The product pages give 15 minutes for the rim protectors (no tools, no jack) and for the caliper covers (a bolt-on). Door lights plug into the factory connector. ProGuard takes longer, because each strip is pressed along its whole length: do it in a dry garage and do not rush it.

Will any of this affect my car's warranty?

We cannot speak for Tesla's warranty decisions. What we can tell you: ProGuard presses into the existing seams with no drilling and no cutting, and the door lights use the same connector as the factory lights. If you are unsure, ask your service center first; unused items go back within 30 days.

What if it does not fit or I do not like it?

30-day returns: start a return in our Return Center within 30 days of delivery. The refund policy lists the conditions. ProGuard and SpaceBox also carry a 2-year warranty.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping is free on every order. Our shipping policy gives 1-2 business days to dispatch and 7-15 days in transit to US addresses.

Is TeslaHubs part of Tesla?

No. Not affiliated with Tesla Motors, Inc. Everything on this list is an aftermarket product that TeslaHubs makes and sells.
