How 6x noise reduction calculations were made exactly?

Local Road Driving is 64 decibels and with ProGuard - 56 decibels.
Since decibel is a relative measure of power. It is computed by 10xLog10 (Power Ratio), where Power Ratio = Noise Ratio.
We reduced 8dB, this equivalent to 10^(-8/10) = 0.16 according to the formula. That means ProGuard reduced the noise by a factor of 6.25 = 1/0.16. So without the ProGuard, the noise is more than 6 times louder!

Do Not Believe Anyone Saying it Doesn’t Work!!!
Added this to my 2025 MYP and all I can say is WoW!! It really works! I have a Lexus ES, which came with this from the factory. So I had to add it to my Tesla. It absolutely drastically reduces the low frequency bump sound of things like cobblestone roads by about 50% - and drastically reduces ambient noise. This is definitely worth it.

The included baby wipes are NOT cleaning wipes. They are actually an adhesive and smell like Testors Plastic Glue.

Last thing I’ll say is a lot of people online say these are all from China and all the same. Then buy a cheap Ali Express or Temu knockoff — and then go posting all over the internet that Teslahubs fell off and made no difference. This is the real thing. Not an overpriced cheap knockoff.

Took about 15-20 minutes to install.

I just installed mine. Super easy after watching
the video. My car is the new model 3
Performance which is already very quiet
compared to the previous model 3 but I still
noticed an improvement with less road noise.
I'm sure it will allow less dirt inside the door sills
too.
