Tesla has introduced a series of subtle interface changes in the Spring 2026 Software Update, which began rolling out with version 2026.14 and later, refreshing the main touchscreen’s icons. Headline additions include the new Pet Mode and the dedicated "Hey Grok" wake word, while the icon updates refine day-to-day interactions.
Icon sizes are up by 21%. Dock icons have increased from 40 x 40 pixels to 44 x 44 pixels, and the underlying icon files are now 80 x 80 pixels to keep them sharp on Teslas high-resolution displays.
The New 'All Apps' Dynamic Icon
The 'All Apps' icon—the entry point to the full app library—has been redesigned, replacing the old three-dots-in-a-box symbol with a folder-like look similar to iOS. Its size jumps from 38 x 38 pixels to 62 x 62 pixels, making it larger than other dock icons.

This icon is now dynamic: it displays four apps that update based on your most recently used or most popular apps that arent already pinned to the dock, keeping frequently used tools close without crowding the bar.
A More Readable Dock
Beyond the app drawer, general dock icons have been scaled up to better fill the existing space. Although the dock itself hasn't changed size, the larger targets make it easier to tap while driving, reducing the time your eyes are off the road.

The increase wasnt applied everywhere on the bottom bar. The seat heater icon now measures 40 x 40 (up from 33 x 33), while the "Car" settings icon and the temperature controls remain the same size as before.
The Spring 2026 Evolution
Alongside these visual refinements, the Spring Update also brings a Self-Driving app that consolidates subscriptions and tutorials, interactive maps for the rear passenger screen, and new high-quality visualizations for the latest Model 3 and refreshed Model Y.
